Refund & cancellation policy
Last updated 29 October 2026
Cancel whenever you like. Plus keeps working until the end of the period you've paid for, and you won't be charged again.
Draft for legal review. This policy describes how the metroinfogo app works today. Still to be filled in before launch: legal name, address, phone, privacy contact.
What you can buy
metroinfogo itself is free. The only paid product is metroinfogo Plus, an optional auto-renewing subscription: ₹99 a month or ₹799 a year through Razorpay on the web and Android, or the App Store price on iPhone.
Cancelling
| Bought through | How to cancel | What happens |
|---|---|---|
| Razorpay (web, Android) | In the app: Profile → metroinfogo Plus → Turn off renewal. Or email us. | No further charges. Plus stays on until the end of the period you paid for. |
| App Store (iPhone) | iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions → metroinfogo, at least 24 hours before renewal. | Apple stops renewal; Plus stays on until the end of the paid period. |
Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription by itself: turn off renewal (Razorpay) or cancel with Apple first. If you're charged after deleting your account, we'll stop it and refund that charge.
Refunds for Razorpay purchases
- First payment: if you ask within 7 days of your first Plus charge, we'll refund it in full, no questions asked, and switch Plus off.
- Renewals: if a renewal charged you by mistake (for example, you'd meant to turn renewal off), ask within 7 days of that charge and we'll refund it if you haven't used Plus since.
- Duplicate or failed charges: always refunded in full. If money left your account but Plus didn't switch on, contact us with the payment ID and we'll either activate Plus or refund you.
- Otherwise: we don't refund part-used periods, but cancelling stops all future charges and you keep Plus to the end of the period.
- Where consumer law gives you a stronger right, that right applies.
Refunds for App Store purchases
Apple handles App Store billing, so refunds are requested from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com and follow Apple's policy. We can't issue refunds for App Store purchases directly.
How to ask for a refund
- Email support@metroinfogo.com from the email address on your metroinfogo account.
- Include the date of the charge and, if you have it, the Razorpay payment ID from your receipt.
- We reply within 2 working days. Approved refunds go back to the original payment method (card, UPI or netbanking), normally within 5–7 working days, depending on your bank.
Failed renewals
If a renewal payment fails, Razorpay may retry it. If it can't be collected, Plus switches off at the end of the paid period; nothing extra is charged.
