Legal
Terms & conditions
Last updated 29 October 2026
The short version: plan your journeys freely, keep your account to yourself, and always follow the signs and the operator on the day.
Draft for legal review. This policy describes how the metroinfogo app works today. Still to be filled in before launch: legal name, address, phone, privacy contact.
1. These terms
These terms are an agreement between you and [Legal business name] (“we”), the operator of the metroinfogo app and metroinfogo.com. By creating an account or using metroinfogo, you accept them. Our privacy policy and refund and cancellation policy form part of these terms.
2. Your account
- You need an account to use metroinfogo. Give accurate details and keep your password to yourself. You can change it, or reset it by email, at any time.
- You're responsible for activity on your account. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has used it.
- We may suspend or close accounts used for abuse, fraud, automated scraping or attacks on the service.
- You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Delete account.
3. What metroinfogo is, and isn't
- metroinfogo shows network maps and plans routes from bundled network data and selected regular service patterns. Maps and routing work offline.
- It does not include live departures, real-time disruptions, closures, fares or last-train times, and it optimises stops or changes, not journey time. Trip mode advances when you tap; it does not track your location.
- Always check station signage and the transit operator's information before and during travel. Network data is a dated snapshot; each city shows the date it was checked.
- metroinfogo is independent. It is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, any transit operator. Line names, colours and station names belong to their operators. Sources and credits are listed on our data sources page.
4. metroinfogo Plus
- Plus is an optional, auto-renewing subscription. All maps, routing, trip tools, saved journeys and history stay free without it.
- On the web and Android, Plus is sold through Razorpay at ₹99 a month or ₹799 a year (prices include applicable taxes unless shown otherwise at checkout). It renews automatically at the same price until you turn off renewal on the Plus page; Plus then lasts until the end of the period you paid for.
- On iPhone, Plus is sold through the App Store at the price shown there. Apple charges your Apple ID, and the subscription renews unless you cancel in your App Store settings at least 24 hours before the period ends.
- Plus bought on one platform unlocks Plus on every device signed in to your account.
- Plus features are being developed and arrive in app updates; the Plus page lists what is available. If we change a Plus price, existing subscribers keep their price until they are told otherwise in advance, and can cancel before any change applies.
- Refunds and cancellations follow our refund and cancellation policy; App Store purchases also follow Apple's terms.
5. Acceptable use
Don't misuse metroinfogo. That includes trying to break or overload it, getting around its security, copying or scraping its data in bulk, reselling it, or using it to harass anyone. Our admin tools and logs exist to keep the service safe.
6. Content and intellectual property
The app, its design, the network diagrams it draws and this website belong to us or our licensors. Network data comes from operators' published sources and open data under their licences (see data sources). You may use metroinfogo for your own travel; you may not copy or redistribute it.
7. Availability
We work to keep metroinfogo available and accurate, but we can't promise it will always be error-free or uninterrupted. Offline features keep working without a connection; account sync, updates and purchases need one.
8. Liability
To the extent the law allows, metroinfogo is provided “as is”, and we are not liable for indirect losses or for missed connections, delays, fines or costs arising from relying on route information. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your statutory rights as a consumer.
9. Ending these terms
You can stop using metroinfogo and delete your account at any time. If we close your account for a breach of these terms, any paid Plus period may end; if we close the service, we'll give notice and refund any unused paid period.
10. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Please contact us first so we can try to resolve any problem; otherwise the courts named in the final version of these terms have jurisdiction, without removing any consumer rights you have where you live.
11. Changes and contact
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll tell you in the app or by email before the change applies. Questions: support@metroinfogo.com or our contact page.
